CIA agent Jo struggles to balance her personal and professional lives as a spearhead in the agency’s war on terror, etc… Reference to Sovereign Awards (2024). I waited 4 episodes to really sink into this one for a long time. The goal was to give myself a chance to appreciate the gift we’ve been given by the many A-list actors who contributed to this work, which is, by the way, enjoyable and well-received by many despite the mixed reviews. For many viewers, the stories have been told from a similar angle, but this view is still fascinating as you unravel a more confusing yet well-knit plot with female leads, each convincingly capturing our attention every time they appear. Halfway through, we can’t tell if that sense of urgency as we discover more and more of what’s going on will remain at the level it is now, but given the subject matter covered, the budget, and the talent pool they were able to bring it to the screen, it’ll be hard to miss the landing, mainly because of the series’ solid foundation.
